Visit Amsterdam Holland

The Red Light District in Amsterdam offers all kinds of ladies for all kinds of tastes.

There is even a section featuring transsexuals, which is in the eastern edge by the Nieuwmarkt and Chinatown area.

These are male turned female transsexuals.  No male workers work windows of the Red Light District, although years ago it was tried out but quickly halted due to an outcry by the local residents.

It is important to note that the Red Light District in Amsterdam is in fact a residential area, where many families live.

The oldest church in the city – the Oude Kerk, which dates back to the 13th century AD — resides in the Red Light District.  The Oude Kerk is on the western edge of the Red Light District, and this is where black girls mainly occupy the windows.  They also charge the least for your 15 minutes of pleasure.

A couple years ago, the city decided to shrink the size of the Red Light District, and they succeeded in closing down about one third of the windows.  Most of these windows were owned by one individual, who was being pressured by the city to pay up taxes or give up his little empire.  He did the latter, and they were turned into fashion boutiques.

But the area is still quite lively, with working girls from all over the world practicing their trade legally here.  Also you will find in this area many cannabis coffeeshops, adult bookstores, bars, snack shops, and clubs that feature, among other things, live sex shows.

If you have ever wanted to visit this vibrant and one of a kind area, you can book a trip that specializes in tours of the Red Light District.
